This episode sees Erix chatting with Jared Kilbourne about one of my favorite episodes of The X-Files. What we have here is an intriguing tale about the oft-pondered potential psychic link that resides between twins; made all the more intriguing by the fact that one of them is mentally-disabled. “Roland” showcases two powerhouse performances: the titular one by always-dependable character actor Zeljko Ivanek and an equally touching one by Kerry Sandomirsky.
As someone who has grown up close to an uncle who has a severe mental disability, this episode has always struck a deeper chord with me than most. I find it to be both touching and heartbreaking. Perhaps you will too…
